British’s alt meat company Moving Mountains is continuing to innovate this time delivering what it claims is the “meatiest plant-based product in the world”.
Timed to coincide with Veganuary it has released Plant-Based Beef Tender Strips that contains a mixture of pea, soya and wheat protein which it says sizzles and browns just like real beef.
Available from Sainsbury’s the strips are housed in the frozen section and retail for £4.50 for a 250g bag.
The company argues that the strips replicate the taste and the texture of real meat in every way and are designed to be game-changers for meat eaters looking to eat more plant-based products but not wishing to give up on the taste of meat.
