Oatly is continuing to expand its product range with the UK launch of four oat-based dairy-free products including a selection of savoury cream cheese-style spreads and whippable oat cream.
The soft-cheese style spreads, which come in Tomato & Basil, Cucumber & Garlic and Plain varieties are designed as a sandwich spread. They can however be used in cooking, such as being stirred into pasta sauces. The plain version can also be used as a base for cheesecakes and buttercreams.
The items are available in Tesco and Sainsbury’s and cost £1.80.
Also debuting is a new whippable cream aimed at bakers. Oatly, Whippable Creamy Oat (£1.20) is, according to the company “the one you’ve been waiting for” as it whips up to create a light and fluffy cream so you can make delicious cream cakes, desserts and more all without the dairy. It is available exclusively at Tesco.
The Swedish-based company is on the verge of issuing an IPO and becoming a publically owned company where anyone can own shares.
